The lab’s first visit to an escape room, and we made it out with 2 min 33 sec to spare. Only 35% of the teams that have tried this room made it out in the allotted time (1 hour). Great teamwork! It was a balmy December day, perfect for exploring the city and dining out.
Former Woychik lab Honors Undergraduate Megan Chen (Genetics, German BS May ’17) secured admission into SIX excellent dental schools. Megan will be attending the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Outstanding!
Former graduate student Melvilí Cintrón (left, PhD May ’17) garnered her dream fellowship in Clinical Microbiology, securing the highly competitive and ONLY Clinical Microbiology Fellowship in the Department of Laboratory Medicine at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Start date July 1, 2018. Keep on smiling Mel!
